Met-L-Chek® is an approved manufacturer, qualification laboratory, and supplier of liquid penetrant inspection materials under SAE QPL AMS 2644 by the United States Air Force Research Laboratory’s Materials and Manufacturing Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
Visible Penetrants
Met-L-Chek® Visible penetrants are widely used in general industry for spot inspections of welds, equipment repairs, safety checks, through leak testing of heat exchangers, field tests in oil and gas equipment, and nuclear component casting inspection. The red penetrant indications are readily visible in bright white light and sunshine contrasting with the white developer.
Specialty Inspection Products
Met-L-Chek® specialty inspection products include penetrants and processors developed for use in high-temperature applications, through-leak testing, dual response penetrants, and water leak finders.
Developers
Met-L-Chek® developers are SAE AMS 2644 QPL-certified, and meet the requirements of AMS 2647, ASTM E1417, ASTM E1418, ASTM E165, ASTM E1209, ISO/FDIS 3452. Met-L-Chek® developers are available in forms a (dry powder), b (water soluble), c (water suspendable) and d (non-aqueous).
Cleaners & Removers
Met-L-Chek® Solvent Cleaners & Removers are SAE AMS 2644 QPL-certified, meeting the requirements of AMS 2647, ASTM E1417, ASTM E1418, ASTM E165, ASTM E1209, T9074-AS-G1B-010/271, ISO/FDIS 3452.
Magnetic Particle Inspection
Met-L-Chek® supplies a complete line of magnetic particle inspection materials for fluorescent, visible, and dry powder methods. The MPI series of magnetic particle materials are formulated to meet or exceed the requirements of ASTM, AMS, and ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Codes.
